British design and craftsmanship is sought after all over the world, so we took a look at some vintage inspired British designs reconceived from a modern perspective.
Here we have a selection of pieces made by hand, using time-honoured methods and simple tools, from raw beginnings these deliberately vintage inspired and beautifully handcrafted pieces each have their own unique personality and soul.
Sourcing is one of the most important components to interior design and we are always on the hunt for must have items for our projects and your interiors.
Mid Century Modern design is at it's height again, being sought after by buyers, collectors and consumers alike. At IOB we have our eyes on the leading shows, exhibitions and auctions, so talk to us and see about finding the right pieces for you.
Here are our favourite pieces from a recent show in London.
Have you move into your new home and your old furniture just doesn't quite work in your new space or the bespoke curtains we're not quite what you'd choose but you've lived with them anyway. Many of us don't get around to updating our interiors, perhaps due to budget restraints, lack of time or simply due to not finding the right replacement items.
If this could be you, then IOB can help. Our interior design and sourcing service will compile the information and source the items you need to help you achieve the interior you desire.
IOB has a love and respect for the works of Lancashire born artist / photographer Jean Macalpine who is exhibiting in the 2015 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Macalpine's work has been selected no less than 22 times to be part of this prestigious annual event, between 1978 and this years 2015 show.
IOB is pleased to have four works here in our collection for sale.

The focus of IOB is to bring 'Items Of Beauty' into your living spaces, however it's not just the items themselves that we want to emphasise. Some of our collections have been collated in categories that are defined by how we live rather than the products themselves. In particular, Service de Jour.
In our frantic run away world eating and drinking have ceased to be an art. Yes we do take the time to dress our tables and adorn our dining environment, however in the days of mass market and production, it's becoming increasingly difficult to bring our own unique personality into what is arguably the social activity we embark on the most when we want to make an impression.
IOB seeks to change that paradigm by investing beauty, style and pleasure into your dining and social interactions.
Dealing in beautiful things, the approach of IOB is that each item is given the attention and space to shine digitally with the magic and allure that attracted us to each item in reality.
Presentation is paramount for creative director Jason Halsey, who has brought together he's team to bring IOB to life. Taking inspiration directly from the rooms furnished by IOB, the design encapsulates an eclectic mix of old, new, established and emerging aesthetics.
