Above 'Standard' Style in South London

Posted by Items of Beauty on

IOB was commissioned to redesign and style a one bedroom Victorian School apartment in South London. The owner wanted to move away from a white cube to something more cosy, imaginative, sophisticated and in keeping with the buildings character.

After several consultations with our creative director, the property was left in our hands to transform. The results seem to have impressed as the final dressed interior was selected by London's 'Evening Standard', as 'London Buy Of The Week'.

"I've never had an interior designer before, and being a bit of a control freak I was nervous as to how things would work out. The creative team at IOB put me at ease with their research and presentation and the final result superbly interpreted the change of mood I wanted to achieve. The property also got a nod in the Evening Standard, which culminated in me getting two offers at asking price when the property went on the market."

Italian Style - 'The Spice Of Life'

"I was searching for a writing table and lamp from which to work on my new book.  IOB found me the perfect combination of a stunning 18th century Italian walnut table counterpoised with a 1970’s Tommaso Barbi scalloped metal lamp.  This makes my work so much more of a joy, as every day I have the calm history of the wood to work on bathed in beautiful light."
